We have been providing high-quality carpentry and general building services for over 16 years. With a focus on detail and aesthetics, we ensure every piece we create is both functional and beautiful.

My name is David, I am the founder of Cedars Carpentry. I have always had a keen interest in making things from wood. This goes back to my school days In wood working class where I realised that I have an eye for detail and enjoyed designing and then creating my vision. It also helps that I come from a very practical, hands on family with many members involved in the construction industry. 

Having this foundation, once I had got my GCSE's and A Levels, I chose to do an apprenticeship in carpentry. I was fortunate enough to get a place at college where I spent 1 day a week and the other 4 days working with a general builder where I learnt so much and gained valuable real world experience. 

I then took a 3 month break in 2010 to do some traveling, taking in the culture and experiences of visiting Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. it was a lot to cram in but it was a great experince and many fantastic memories were made .

On returning back home I was offered a job with my uncle who was a builder. Over the many years working with him, I have further developed my skills and passion for the job on the many projects that we have undertaken. In May 2024 I decided to start my own company.
